Project Voltage’s Blitzing Bonus Song
The twentieth and final song in Project Voltage has released with over two million views! Produced by Kanaria, this song is rich with Easter eggs – let’s explore them!
On July 19, 2024, the twentieth and final song in Project Voltage was released. It currently has a whopping two million views on YouTube. Produced by Kanaria, this song is rich with Easter eggs.
The song starts off with Cynthia’s piano theme playing. The text box on the screen is Pokémon Platinum Frame 1, the default frame in the options menu.
In the video Cynthia uses the following quote from the player’s first encounter in the Pokémon League during Pokémon Platinum:
“Have you been keeping well? Thank you for Mt. Coronet. And the Distortion World. I’m truly grateful. Together, you and your Pokémon overcame all the challenges you faced, however difficult. It means that you’ve triumphed over any personal weaknesses, too. The power you learned… I can feel it emanating from you. But that’s enough talk. Let’s get on with why you’re here. As the Pokémon League Champion, I accept your challenge!”
This song lyrics regarding Cynthia’s Pokémon were carefully crafted. For example, when Cynthia Miku calls out her Spiritomb, it is mentioned it has 108 souls, as stated in its Pokédex entry. The lyrics regarding Roserade mentions a red bouquet, and so on.
The team Cynthia Miku uses in this song is her Platinum team. It is Spiritomb, Roserade, Togekiss, Lucario, Milotic and Garchomp. Keen listeners might be able to hear their cries when sent out onto the screen.
The Easter eggs do not end there. Throughout the song, one can hear neutral and super effective damage taken, along with that low HP beep Pokémon players are familiar with. Cynthia also says her in-battle quote upon sending out her last Pokémon. Throughout the fight, the trainer offscreen is winning until Garchomp is sent out.
I speculate that the unseen character is attempting a speedrun, since their Trainer name is five As. A familiar message soon pops up on the screen as the music stops.
“AAAAA is out of usable Pokémon.
AAAAA paid 3939₽ to the winner.
AAAAA blacked out!”
The number 3939 is a reference to Miku. In Japanese, thirty-nine can be read as Miku, or sankyuu, which means thank you. In the end, this song is full of electrifying hidden secrets.
