The Name Rater: Dunsparce and Dudunsparce Nicknames!

The Name Rater returns to rate your nicknames for Dunsparce and Dudunsparce!

Woah, goodness, I must have dozed off for a while there! Where was I? Wait, who am I?

…The Name Rater? I guess you must be right, although I don’t remember being so young. Maybe that was a dream. But yes, I suppose I should do my job! So who are we nicknaming then? Ah, Dunsparce and Dudunsparce!

Well, I don’t quite know why they have them, but those wings are kinda cute! And what names are on offer?

Danger!? – A reference to a Yugioh card that is based on the same creature.

A you what oh? Let me see that… Well, yes, I can see the resemblance, it just doesn’t have any wings. Well, Danger!? seems like a fitting name too, and potentially funny too. “Watch that Danger doesn’t bite you!” And then when they say ‘What?’, he goes chomp. Classic.

Dun Dun Dun – For dramatic effect

I think you just have to get used to saying it dramatically. See, if you just say ‘dun dun dun’ casually, then it loses the meaning, and just sounds silly without being funny.

Sting. Refers to three notes of music (“dun dun dunnn”) used in media. Uses it to enhance or signal a moment. Points to “ba dum tsh” in comedy as another sting.

I like that – saves you having to put on the voice every time, and is a neat reference in itself. And hey, if your Dunsparce ever did sting someone, then it has even more meaning!

You’re Dun – This definitely happens when Dudunsparce uses Coil, especially on a Trick Room team

A competitive battler, eh? I bet you could combine that with other phrases… “Like my dinner, You’re Dun”. Just don’t make your Dunsparce think it is dinner. I’m not sure it’d taste that nice anyway…

Dumbarse & Dumbfarce 🙃

Well that’s just rude now. And a little childish. Don’t be mean to your Dunsparce!

King Dududu. After the Kirby character, King Dedede. Cannot fit Queen Dududu, unfortunately.

A good reference! And it also works for Dudunsparce. But as for your second suggestion, it does fit in newer titles! It used to be 10, but now it’s 12. I’m not sure why we’re so restrictive still, but that’s what we have to work with… but hey, both genders are possible here.

Dozer. As in, Drill Dozer. Learns Hyper Drill. Looks sleepy.

That’s pretty fitting – and bonus points for the double meaning!

And speaking of sleepy, I’m pooped! Time for a nap – I hope you found my name rating services of use!

Thanks to Sweet Serenity, Corveone, and Devalue for the nicknames!
