2020 Pokémon World Championships cancelled
Future VGC events for 2020 have been cancelled, most likely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. All Championship Points banked before this cancellation will be carried forward to the 2021 World Championships.
In an unsurprising turn of events, due to health concerns, it has been announced that the Pokémon 2020 World Championships has been cancelled.
This follows a move put forward earlier this month, in which the European International Championships would be put on hold. As a result, all sanctioned Play! Pokémon events, including the North America International Championships and the Pokémon World Championships in London, have been put on hold until further notice. All invitations to the 2020 World Championships will be carried over to the 2021 World Championships, and any Championship Points that have been earned up to this point will be carried over to the 2021 World Championships.
