Sword and Shield double pack and more preorder bonuses announced
Quick Balls feature as the preorder bonus for the digital version of the game.
The upcoming games Pokémon Sword and Shield have had a new double pack announced, featuring both versions. This may be tempting for those who really want both versions for exclusives, including Gym Leaders.
As a special bonus for purchasing the double pack, you’ll receive two codes (one per game) that will reward you with special items known as Dynamax Crystals.
By using the Dynamax Crystals received via the codes, you’ll be able to face Dynamax Larvitar and Dynamax Jangmo-o in special Max Raid Battles. These Pokémon normally can’t be encountered until later in the game!
Larvitar won’t appear in Pokémon Sword and Jangmo-o won’t appear in Pokémon Shield during normal gameplay, but you’ll be able to catch them in either version by using these Dynamax Crystals!
These add onto the existing preorder bonuses from the American Pokémon Center website of cute keychain plushies.

For a limited time, players of the downloadable version can receive a present of 12 Quick Balls. If you download the downloadable version from Nintendo eShop by Jan 15, 2020, you can receive a code that will allow you to get 12 Quick Balls!
Quick Balls are special Poké Balls that are more likely to catch Pokémon if you use them as soon as a battle begins.
