A new trailer has revealed a host of new Pokémon, new characters, and a variant to Dynamaxing – Gigantamaxing.

The new Pokémon revealed are Alcremie (Fairy-type), Rolycoly (Rock-type), and Duraludon (Steel/Dragon-type). Yamper has also been officially announced; it was only shown without additional fanfare as part of the playable demo at E3.

A new Ability, Steam Engine, is confirmed to be an Ability for Rolycoly. A Pokémon with this Ability will get a Speed stat boost if it’s hit with a Fire- or Water-type move during battle.

New characters have also been confirmed: Chairman Rose and his assistant Oleana. They seem to have a role in the Galar region’s Gym and Champion circuit. There are also two new (version exclusive!) Gym Leaders, Bea (Sword version; a Fighting-type Gym Leader) and Allister (Shield version; Ghost-type).

Lastly, Gigantamaxing is a new feature in addition to Dynamaxing. It changes the size and appearance of a Pokémon, but can only be done for specific specimens of certain Pokémon species. Thus far we know of Gigantamaxed forms for Alcremie, Corviknight, and Drednaw.
