Shiny Grimer, Geodude sighted in Pokémon GO’s Kanto event, regional Kanto Pokémon can be hatched from 7km eggs
As usual, Niantic have not announced all the bonuses for the event beforehand.
The newest event in Pokémon GO, featuring various Kanto Pokémon, has just gone live. As often seen for events, new Pokémon can be discovered in their Shiny form. Thus far, Grimer has been found to have a Shiny version available, as has Geodude.

It is not yet known if Alolan Grimer or Alolan Geodude can be found in their Shiny form or not.
Meanwhile, all Raids currently last an hour and a half. You can catch Zapdos with Thundershock from Raids, but you still cannot use a TM on ones you already own for the move.

Update: It has been confirmed that the region-locked Pokémon; Mr. Mime, Kangaskhan, Tauros and Farfetch’d, can be hatched from 7km eggs for the duration of the Kanto event.
Trainers will now have the chance to hatch Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros from 7 km Eggs! Take advantage of this opportunity to complete your Kanto Pokédex, as this bonus will only be available until September 30! pic.twitter.com/ZEFJIFfOoo
