Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2018 announced

Some more events are lined up for Pokémon GO this summer. The dates for future Community Day events are also out.

The official Pokémon GO website has released information concerning events this July, to commemorate the second year anniversary of the game. This has been referred to as the Pokémon GO Summer Tour 2018.

A Safari Zone event has been scheduled to take place in beautiful Westfalenpark, in Dortmund, Germany. From June 30 to June 1, players will be able to catch Pokémon and some of which are, according to the website, “rarely seen in Europe”. It is not known what exactly this entails though, whether it involves region exclusives such as Heracross, or otherwise hard-to-find Pokémon such as Snorlax. Registration is not required for this event.

From July 14 to July 15, Pokémon GO Fest will return to ChicagoPokémon GO Fest 2018: A Walk in the Park is to be held in Lincoln Park and will involve a 1.8 mile walking course that will involve activities for GO players. Unlike the Safari Zone event, GO Fest must be prebooked in advance, and tickets will go on sale starting May 11.

In Asia, more events are set to come in the future. A Safari Zone event will be held in Yokosuka, Japan, which will be followed with more events that will take place across Asia. No information has been posted about this yet, but more updates will come in due time. Future events have also been teased, allowing players without access to the aforementioned Safari Zone and GO Fest events to take part.

The dates for the next Community Days have also been revealed. May 19 will feature Charmander, and two more Community Days are scheduled for June 16 and July 8; it is not known which Pokémon will be featured as of yet.
