Fighting-type Pokémon event begins in Pokémon GO
Shiny Meditite and Makuhita has been added to the game as part of this two week long event!
As Zapdos rows into the field quest rewards for Pokémon GO, a new event has also begun, bringing an abundance of Fighting-type Pokémon. The Special Battle Showdown event features the following:
- Fighting-type Pokémon are more common
- Double EXP awarded for participating in Gym and Raid Battles
- 3,000 Stardust and at least one Rare Candy awarded for winning a Raid Battle
- 2× Badge multiplier for actions involving Gyms
- Extra items from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
New Raid Bosses such as Breloom, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee are now appearing for this event. Two species of Pokémon have Shiny forms added as well. As usual this was unannounced by Niantic, but proof has been found for Meditite and Makuhita.
