Project Voltage’s Zapping Finale

All good things must come to an end eventually. We review the last songs initially planned for Project VOLTAGE… but some bonus entries are yet to come!

All good things must come to an end eventually. On March 9, 2024, the eighteenth song in the Project Voltage series was released, and it is no stranger to Easter Eggs.

Three bonus songs have been announced, alongside an album that will be releasing in November, 2024. However, as of the writing of this article, only one of these has released.

MELLOMELLOID is a song by Kairiki Bear. His songs tend to have a drawing of a girl in greyscale on a colored background. This song is all about the Fairy type. Multiple Fairy-type Pokémon can be seen throughout the music video.

A majority of the themes sampled here relate to Fairy-type Pokémon. There are several references to Pokédex entries within the lyrics (e.g. Mimikyu’s entries about being lonely and never forgiving anyone who breaks its neck), moves (e.g. Fake Tears and Crunch) and evolution (e.g. spinning to evolve Milcery). Furthermore, Mawile’s dex number is 303, while this song was released on March 3rd, and the video is exactly 3 minutes and 3 seconds long. The name of the song itself is the word for Attract in Japanese followed by the suffix lloid.

The musical Easter Eggs are as follows:

Glorious Day is the eighteenth song in Project Voltage by producer EveIn this song, all eighteen versions of Miku appear in the music video. Along with this, multiple champion themes were sampled.

This song released on Miku Day, March 9th, 2024. It is quite Easter Egg heavy both musically and visually.

The Easter Eggs are:

After Epochs is a bonus song for Project Voltage produced by sasakure. UK, a popular chiptune artist. This song has a lot of visual references including Pokémon trainers, and iconic locations from the older Pokémon games.

The musical and visual Easter Eggs are:
