Hoenn region event set for Pokémon GO, Feebas United Research Day announced

Hoenn confirmed! …again. Generation III is getting the spotlight this time around, what with Hoenn-based events and Feebas getting more prominent.

It appears that another event is inbound for Pokémon GO.

Starting at 13:00 PST (21:00 GMT) today, and ending on January 29, at 13:00 PST (21:00 GMT), Pokémon introduced in Generation III will spawn more frequently in the wild. During this time-frame, any Shroomish that are evolved will know the exclusive move Grass KnotShiny Zigzagoon and Shiny Taillow will also become available, and 7km eggs will have a chance of hatching Generation III Pokémon such as Numel and Duskull.

Generation III Pokémon will also be the focus of Raid Battles, and this will be marked by Kyogre and Groudon returning to Raid Battles. However, it is not known whether Rayquaza will return. Team Magma and Team Aqua outfits will also be available in the Style Shop.

On a very similar note, on January 19 (Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, India) or January 20 (Asia-Pacific), in a three hour time window, Feebas will become more prominent, with a chance to even encounter its Shiny form.

Here are the time windows for the event:

Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: January 19, from 10:00 to 13:00 GMT
The Americas and Greenland: January 19, from 11:00 to 14:00 PST (GMT −8)
Asia-Pacific: January 20, from 12:00 to 15:00 JST (GMT +9)

As well as Feebas becoming more prominent in this time window, Limited Field Research tasks will become available. These Limited Field Research tasks are not known yet, but completing them will reward encounters with Feebas. This Feebas will have a minimum of 65 CP and a maximum of 117 CP.

Wow, that’s a lot of information there, huh? Generation III is getting a spotlight, how do you feel about this?
