Update: Gengar caught from these Raids will now also know the move Lick, which is an improvement. However, this will only apply to those Gengar – evolving a Haunter will not give you those moves.

More Pokémon GO news, you say? They’re certainly piling on the events and announcements lately. On the 3rd of November (Saturday) worldwide, a new Special Raid challenge for three hours will occur. Rather than Kanto Legendaries this time however it involves Gengar. The times are as follows:

• Asia-Pacific: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)
• Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and lndia: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
• The Americas and Greenland: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7)

Shiny Gengar may appear for lucky trainers, although it’s noted it looks quite similar to regular Gengar. As before, up to five Raid passes can be collected for free as well. The special move has been confirmed to be Psychic.
