Pokémon Unbound is an upcoming hack of Pokémon FireRed created by Skeli789 of the PokeCommunity. It features a brand new story, characters, region (the Borrius region), and more! You start as a young boy or girl who is about to get their first Pokémon from Professor Log. When you are about to leave however, the mysterious, mythical Pokémon Hoopa appears! Coming out of one of its magic rings, it transports you through this ring and you wake up in a strange warehouse. Here you get captured by evil forces. Trapped in the warehouse, you need to find a way to escape.

After looking around the warehouse, you discover three Pokémon in a cage and set them free. They are Gible, Larvitar, and Beldum! Using them you escape the warehouse, and realize that your adventure is about to get very big! Who are these mysterious villains? What are their goals? What does Hoopa want with you?

“Welcome to the Borrius Region, a region rich in history. Many years ago the Borrius region fought a bloody war with the Kalos region. The people of the Borrius region summoned a dark force to help them defeat their enemies; however the war ended in defeat when the king of the Kalos region unleashed the ultimate weapon. With the war over, the dark force was sealed away never to be used again. However, many years later, an evil organization known simply as “The Shadows” is bent on releasing the dark force once again. It’s up to you to stop them and save the Borrius region from ultimate destruction (from the official thread).”

With that in mind, are you up for the challenge?

The hack also has many other great features. These are:

• Updated graphics from FireRed.
• Pokémon from gens 1-7! This also means that the Fairy type, updated movepools and more from every game up to Sun/Moon will be included.
• Updated mechanics for features from all seven gens.
• Many new items and even reusable TMs.
• Music from other Pokémon games such as HGSS, BW and the Mystery Dungeon Series.
• Sidequests that offer many items and even something special when you do a certain amount of them.
