Aegislash and Blastoise in paid DLC for Pokkén Tournament DX

Two new fighters and four support Pokémon will be released over the next few months.

The surprise Mini Nintendo Direct that aired today included some Pokémon news. Paid DLC will debut on the Nintendo Switch title Pokkén Tournament DX in two waves, introducing two new fighters: Aegislash and Blastoise. Four support Pokémon will also be added: Mega Rayquaza, Mimikyu, Mew and Celebi.

Pokémon battles are about to get a lot more exciting with the arrival of the Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack DLC. This paid add-on for owners of the full version of Pokkén Tournament DX for Nintendo Switch includes two waves of additional content to make your fighting experience livelier than ever before.

The first wave includes the Battle Pokémon Aegislash. It can switch between two Formes, making it twice the threat in battle! There are two new Support Pokémon as well: Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. The second wave unleashes the Battle Pokémon Blastoise and includes a Support Pokémon set of Mew and Celebi. The Battle Pack DLC also includes new avatar items and more.

The Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack DLC will be available to purchase on January 11, 2018, for $14.99. Wave 1 content will then release on January 31, with Wave 2 content arriving on March 23. Get ready to expand your roster, and we’ll see you in the battle arena!
