We have warned dear readers when a Pokémon game leak has happened prior to release – but here’s a case that’s more notable and unexpected than usual. Very recently, images and information have appeared across the internet from a claimed ‘gigaleak’ of Game Freak. This has happened before and gave us information on the first few generation games, and even provided us some cool insights into the development of game maps, but apparently this is a fresh leak.

Reports indicate that Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, as well as Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are among the games that have source code leaked. Unreleased Game Freak titles (not necessarily to do with Pokémon) have also been a target.

We’re not sharing these leaks – just a warning that you may see spoilers for things. But maybe we’ll learn more about old games too, which can be interesting.
