UPDATED: More Pokémon from the Hoenn Region Coming to GO!

Rayquaza, and loads more Pokémon from Hoenn are set to be discovered!

Pokémon GO trainers- are you ready to encounter more Pokémon from the Hoenn region? Prepare yourselves, as they will come on February 9th! During this event, Pokémon from the Hoenn region will also take over wild Pokémon encounters until February 13th. This will be a wonderful opportunity to catch some of your Hoenn favourites!

Players will get the chance to catch the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza! Rayquaza will appear in new Raid Battles at your nearby Gyms until March 16th. Players will still have the opportunity to battle the legendary Water-type Pokémon Kyogre until February 14th. The three ancient legendary Pokémon can all be yours!

The new Pokémon are as follows:

  • Rayquaza
  • Wingull/Pelipper
  • Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence
  • Beldum/Metang/Metagross
  • Swablu/Altaria
  • Taillow/Swellow
  • Surskit/Masquerain
  • Volbeat
  • Illumise
  • Castform
  • Chimecho
  • Tropius

This means that besides other Legendaries, the Nincada and Clamperl lines, as well as Spinda and Kecleon, will remain absent.

With all these powerful Pokémon to collect, it’s going to be vital to stock up on supplies! Starting February 9th, players will be able to get new special boxes, which contain Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces! You can grab them in-store until February 23rd. Lure Modulators will remain activated for six hours until February 23rd as well!
