Check out gscdex, an online, mobile-friendly Generation 2 Pokédex

Finally, a second generation-focussed Pokédex that provides all the information you need to catch ’em all in Gold, Silver or Crystal.

With everything focused on recent Pokémon games, and Pokémon Crystal coming to the Nintendo eShop in less than a week, you might want to find out about the Pokémon you’ve caught and what moves it will learn. Check Bulbapedia, Serebii or other websites and the first page you’d stare at has data for them… from every game to date. Want to check the level your Totodile learns Hydro Pump in Gold? You’ll have to click through several pages just to find it, because you’ll be shown what it learns in Sun and Moon by default.

PokéCommunity member madk would scramble on these websites when she decided to replay Crystal. Needless to say, it was inconvenient to obtain information from those sites. Instead of staying frustrated, however, she wrote her own Generation 2 Pokédex — introducing gscdex, a mobile-friendly Pokédex with Gen 2 information only, easily accessible from your phone!

gscdex provides information for Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Crystal, detailing a Pokémon’s base stats, the moves it can learn, how it evolves and where to catch it, without too much clutter, and has a design charmingly resembling the games. It’s the perfect companion for trainers playing the second-generation games, whether for the first time or thrice again!
