Next Pokémon GO Update relatively minor

Updates to distance tracking and more “minor text fixes”.

Niantic have announced the details of the next Pokémon GO update. Bar a change to distance tracking (which may mean you can’t just hatch Eggs by standing still and letting an inaccurate GPS do the walking for you), the changes listed below are minor.

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.53.1 for Android and 1.23.1 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

  • Updated Apple Watch to display Eggs obtained from PokéStops
  • Changed distance tracking to better account for GPS drift
  • Minor text fixes.

Here’s hoping that we get something more noteworthy next time.
