In Day 2 of the Pokémon World Championships 2016, Masami “Potetin” Sato won the Master division of Pokkén Tournament. He finished off Azazel’s Machamp in the final rounds with his Chandelure.

The final placings were:
4th – Tevin “TeeJay” Stokes, USA
3rd – “Deity Light”, USA
2nd – “Azazel”, JPN
1st – Masami “Potetin” Sato, JPN
