Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s bugs don’t just live in the single player mode – they’re also affecting online multiplayer. Initially reported in a Reddit thread, a player noticed that 90% accuracy moves at the start of battles in the Battle Stadium mode were always missing. It’s rather unlikely to be a case of bad luck – the chances of any player having such a move miss 14 times out of 14 is (0.1)^14 = 1*10^-14, or a chance of 1 in 100 trillion.
Naturally, this means you can manipulate what should be down to chance in your favour… Fake Out and Sheer Cold before your opponent attacks will always hit, for instance.
Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Battle Stadium currently is using the same RNG seed for every battle.
This allows us to choose moves to ensure that OHKO moves such as Sheer Cold always hit! pic.twitter.com/lSlBJr1AF6

Luckily it won’t affect any Ranked matches, because that mode is not currently active. Hopefully a patch will be coming soon to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, for this and various other performance issues.
