Pokémon Quest and Pokémon Let’s Go announced
Pokémon Quest is a mobile and Switch title, while Pokémon Let’s Go is based on Pokémon Yellow and releases for Switch on the 16th of November.
Three new Pokémon games are being announced today at a press conference for release this year. Pokémon Quest releases for Switch and mobile, Pokémon Let’s Go is a Switch title set in Kanto releasing the 16th of November, and a third title will release on Switch in the second half of 2019. Pokémon Let’s Go
Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eevee released the 16th of November. The game is set in Kanto, features local co-op play, and has connectivity with Pokémon GO. It is based on Pokémon Yellow but is not a remake. A new device is also to be released – the Poké Ball Plus. It is shaped like a Poké Ball and will also function as a Pokémon GO Plus for Pokémon GO.

The game features the 151 Kanto Pokémon, Alolan forms, and at least one new Pokémon not seen before anywhere. The game will feature battling and trading via local WiFi, and multiple accounts can be used on the one Switch console for the game. The Japanese website has now launched, as has the English website.

Pokémon Quest
This new title is for both mobile and Nintendo Switch, and is fully controllable by touch. It takes place on ‘Tumblecube Island’. You make a team of three Pokémon to explore the island, have battles and befriend other Pokémon. It is available for download now on the Switch. The mobile version will release in June.

Future, probable Generation 8 title
A third game is in development for Pokémon Switch and to be released in the second half of 2019. This is likely a generation eight game.
