The newest Max Raid event for Pokémon Sword and Shield has been announced. Evidently drawing on the timing of Easter, players will encounter high rates of baby Pokémon, with Pichu, Cleffa, Togepi, Tyrogue, Wynaut, Budew, Bonsly, Mime Jr., Munchlax, Riolu, Mantyke, and Toxel in Max Raid Battles.

Ditto also features as a potential Raid Boss, and it’s probably the most exciting and useful boss for players. Breeding Pokémon is useful, and these Ditto if encountered in a 5-star raid will have at least four good IVs (individual values). The baby Pokémon are more of use for those still in need of completing their Pokédex, and won’t pose much excitement in battling them. The Destiny Knot or Everstone items up for grabs are arguably more interesting than the chance of fighting the likes of Bonsly.

One hopes that future Max Raid events prove more exciting, such as having a high Shiny rate for a featured Pokémon (like the Magikarp event), or a truly tough boss such as Mewtwo had been.
