A new Research task is making its way to Pokémon GO, this task will be focusing on the weather! Spin Photo Discs at Pokéstops to build up Limited Research tasks, bringing you closer to encountering Lotad during this event! The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in your local timezone on Mar. 30, 2019.

Here are the main highlights to look out for during the event:

• Pokémon that appear during different weather conditions will appear more frequently.
• Limited Research tasks will become available when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops.
• Completing the tasks will reward you with encounters with Lotad.
• Anyone lucky enough may encounter Shiny Lotad and Shiny Castform (in its Normal form)!

There’s also a permanent feature being added as a result: the move Weather Ball will now be permanently available for Castform.

The tasks can be completed at any time, but remember these need to be collected during the event window! Make sure to stop at lots of PokéStops to accumulate those Field Research tasks, to start catching Lotad as fast as possible!
