[Updated] Dratini features in the next Pokémon GO Community Day

The next Community Day is the 24th of February. But will Dratini have a higher shiny rate during the event?

Update: Dratini can indeed be Shiny during this event. However, right now in the Asia-Pacific region server issues have been reported. An extension to the event may hence occur.

Dratini has been announced as the next Pokémon to feature in February’s Pokémon GO Community Day. As before, the event on the 24th of February will last for three hours. Lures will last for the same amount of time, while the other bonus this time is triple Stardust. The times are as before:

  • Asia-Pacific region: 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST (GMT +9)
  • Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India: 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC (GMT +0)
  • Americas and Greenland: 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. PST (GMT -8)

Dratini’s exclusive move has not yet been announced. We do not currently know if wild Dratini can be shiny during this event like how Pikachu during the event had higher shiny rates. We should get an indication beforehand as the shiny model does not currently exist in the game files.

A new Shiny model has been recently discovered to have been added to the game, but surprisingly, the Pokémon was Chikorita. Maybe it will feature in a future event?

Did you participate in the Community Day event last weekend? Are you keen to catch a horde of Dratini?
