Pokémon GO Ring Accessory Arriving in Japan

A new Pokémon GO accessory is now available!

Pokémon GO has reached its anniversary, receiving multiple updates and events along the way. Now a new accessory will be available for the game, the Pokémon GO Plus Ring Accessory. This ring gives you the ability to control the game from the palm of your hand. You can capture Pokémon and collect items from PokéStops with the press of a button.

If you haven’t owned or even heard of a GO Plus accessory, this is a quick rundown of what it does.

  • You can do certain tasks in the game with a simple push of a button.
  • The device connects to your smartphone with Bluetooth.
  • It notifies you of Pokémon and PokéStops nearby by flashing a light and vibrating.
  • It flashes up and vibrates if a Pokémon capture was successful.

The ring has been reported to be released on July 15th in Japan. It will be priced at 400 yen (roughly $3.50). There have been no official reports for a worldwide release. Some decorations for it have also been revealed, including patterns of the Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball.
