Alola

The latest season of the Pokémon anime started on 17th November and it’s a totally different place compared to the other Regions. So far only 22 episodes have aired, but the series – set in Alola – is already showing itself to be very different to the previous seasons. Ash is now at school and with school comes many friends! Ash has been very busy, already catching three Pokémon and meeting the legendary Tapu Koko. Thankfully Tapu Koko seems very fond of Ash, even giving him a Z-Ring and Electrium Z! Ash has already tried to fight Tapu Koko but unfortunately lost, but this can only mean they are destined to meet again!

The Sun/Moon anime series has also brought along with it a rather large and controversial difference in its animation and art styles. It seems that as the series has potentially progressed to maybe a more serious and important time for Ash, the art style and animation have tried to reflect that. It definitely reaised a few eyebrows, but I personally think after watching one or two episodes that the new art style and the general ‘feel’ of the new series is amazing! I definitely think this is going to be one of the best ones yet!
