Further Mega Stone distribution news announced

It seems you can get Mega Stones without participating in online competitions! However, you may still want to sign up for the February competition – registration starts soon.

We previously reported on news that Mega Stones not yet available within Pokémon Sun and Moon would be distributed to participants in an online competition. Today The Pokémon Company have released further information (on the Japanese site).

The first news is that the players who participate in three battles in International Challenge Competitions – such as the next one this February – will receive some Mega Stones. These are distributed to participants through a code. However, this is not the only method for getting Mega Stones! Codes for these Mega Stones will be given to all players. The catch is you may have to wait one to two months longer than the online competition participants. These processes will continue for the next few months, and further details will come later.

As a reminder, registration for the February Competition starts soon! Sign-up begins on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 00:00 UTC, and lasts for little over a week before competition starts. There is an upper limit of 50,000 participants, so be sure to get in early! A Mawilite and Beedrillite are at stake.
