Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are the newest games. Pokémon Bank also receives a neat feature!

In today’s Pokémon  Direct, Nintendo officially announced the existence of two new Pokémon games: Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon. The logos for these games were leaked only yesterday after being trademarked by Nintendo of Europe.

The games are to be released worldwide in the “Holiday” period, 2016, in nine languages. This means the end of the year period, or the last quarter (October-December).

The Pokémon Direct also introduced a neat feature involving Pokémon Bank. You will be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow to Pokémon Sun and Moon. That’s a jump across six generations in one go! However, you won’t be able to trade from the 1st generation games to Pokémon X&Y or Pokémon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire.
