CoroCoro brings two more Pokémon

Two new Pokémon are revealed: Kiteruguma and Mimikkyu. They’re not quite the usual sort…

The July edition for the Japanese magazine CoroCoro has just leaked, bringing us more new Pokémon. And they look rather… unusual.

Say hello to zombie Pikachu!
Say hello to undead Pikachu!

The one based on a red panda is called Kiteruguma in Japanese. It is a Normal/Fighting type, with the abilities Fluffy (new ability!) and Klutz. In CoroCoro, it is stated that people in Alola are scared of Kiteruguma to the point of having warning signs about it. It likes to hug its trainer, but given its strength, raising one puts your life in danger.

The ghost is called Mimikkyu, and is Ghost/Fairy. It has the ability called Disguise, which may allow it to mimic other Pokémon. Apparently, the cloth covering it is its method to avoiding the sun. Removing the cloth can be hazardous to your health – Mimikkyu will afflict you with an illness for doing that.

Lastly, next month’s CoroCoro, for release on August 12th, will have a special guide to the ‘Southern Island’ of Alola.

We’ll update with more information as it comes. Information like the names are preliminary.

Thanks to Achromatic for the tip.
