Pokémon Go Beta Testing to begin in Japan
Late March start for testing in Japan – but when can we try out the game?
Today the Pokémon Company tweeted, along with Junichi Masuda, that Pokémon Go has announced registration for beta testing (‘field tests’) for the application.

The website for registration has gone live, although it is only accessible if you live in Japan (or can trick the site into thinking that). Beta testing starts in late March. Registration requires a Google/Gmail email, and either an iPhone 5 (or beyond), or an Android phone on Android version 4.3 or higher.
These ‘field tests’ may also start later for other countries, so it’s something to keep an eye out for. This is also an indication that development has progressed steadily on Pokémon Go.
